Week One
"The 10 Spot" has some changes this week. The primary change is that
we have a new number 1. The Harlingen Cardinals get the top spot after
obliterating the McHigh Bulldogs by 39 points. Since Los Fresnos and McAllen
Memorial did not play they stay at #2 and #3 respectively. PSJA moves up two
spots after beating Donna and Sharyland drops a spot after just edging Hanna
37-29. San
Benito's come from behind double overtime victory and Coach Gantt's
first takes them from the 8th spot to the number 6 team in the poll.
Mission, Weslaco East, Edinburg Economedes, and Rio GrandeCity round out the top 10. Port Isabel,
Edcouch Elsa, and McHigh drop out of the list. Other teams receiving votes are
Brownsville Pace Weslaco High, and La Feria.
